HI Linkadge. I was hoping you could share some things.
What are you taking right now? How long on each? What doses?
How are the various things working or contributing? What remaining symptoms are you still trying to target?
Thanks!

Right now, just omega-3. I am in a transition phase. I am starting a new school semester.
I'm not depressed just very anxious. I am a high anxiety breed.
Not sure what my next move will be. Omega-3 is a mainstay, but I might add a little SJW.
Doctor prescribed seroquel, which I have taken in the past. It's ok, but saps way to many of my faculties.
Probably some taurine.
I can usually get out of depression with enough effort, but the anxiety is what is killing me.
Doctor wanted to experiment with propranolol. Its ok too, but its not what I am looking for. I am loosing serious weight, and I want to prevent/reverse that, but I don't want to do it in an unhealthy way (ie atypicals).
How are you?

Hey Link...May I ask what dose and EPA/DHA ratio of fish oil you're taking?
I recently started taking 100% EPA (today) as I've always had anxiety with the standard fish oil forms. I've read some literature suggesting it may be better than standard preparations.

Also, most scientific studies use a very high EPA/DHA ratio preparation I've recently learned.
I've had a recent onset of anxiety with no obvious cause, so I recently stopped my standard fish oil and started the high dose EPA. Fish oil with the normal about 1.5 EPA/DHA ratio usually makes me quite anxious, so I'm hoping this switch may be beneficial.
I'm wondering if my light therapy (for sleep regulation) could be the cause of my anxiety (any thoughts perhaps?). Anyhow, I'm digressing. Just wanted to mention this and ask your thoughts as you mentioned both anxiety and fish oil. Good luck and peace...Saturn.

Not exactly sure.
I know that EPA seems to have the most antidepressant effect. It may cause some intial start up anxiety.
DHA didn't give me any anxiety, but it didn't have too much of a mood brightening effect.
As far as light therapy, anything is possable.Sometimes initial anxiety can be the sign of a positive effect on mood, but not really sure.
If you are abruptly or dramatically changing the onset of bright light in your day this could concievably cause anxiety.
Certain hormones may be triggered by bright light. Bright light may trigger morning cortisol, I don't know. I do know that bright light supresses melatonin output.
This is the end of the thread.
