I just saw an amazing DVD called "The Devil and Daniel Johnston". It's a documentary about a manic/schizophrenic indie/folk rock composer/artist, creator of the "Hi, How Are You" tape. With lots of home movie & audio footage, it follows a super-talented creative genius from his junior high school days to his middle-aged present, through his brushes with international stardom, involuntary hospitalization, and assault charges. Hard to watch at times because it's so intense, but I highly recommend it.
