DBT

I've just bought "Depressed and anxious: The Dialectical Behaviour Therapy Workbook for overcoming depression and anxiety" Anyone read it or done DBT? Does it work? BTW what does "dialectical" mean? My dictionary says it's pertaining to the art of arguing. But that doesn't seem to be what psychotherapists mean. I've been trying to find out for 30 years ever since Janov used it in I suspect a distorted way.

I'm current reading Marsha Linehan's "Cognitive-Behavioral Treatment of Borderline Personality Disorder". It's very good and explains the ideas behind DBT and the skills it teaches very well. I'd definitely recommend it.

Any opinion yet on the workbook you bought? I've seen it but never really looked at it. If it's good, I might pick up a copy myself.
