I am a newbie. I came across this site and decided to give it a try.
Ok here's the scoop on me. I have borderline personality disorder and dissociative disorder NOS. I have periods of time that I have no clue what I am doing or why. My therapist can tell when I'm starting to zone and can usually bring me back. Sometimes he can't and then I'm not allowed to live his office until I am back to me because I usually retreat so far into myself its not safe for me to be out within the public.
2 years ago I almost commited suicide. If my mom had been an hour later I wouldn't be here. I had taken over 400 pills and cut my wrist. They pumped my belly and I ended up on life support for 3 1/2 weeks. I had to learn how to stand and walk again and now when I start to get sick my legs turn to jelly. I did a stint at the state hospital that time but all I got out of that was a huge bill that I'll never be able to pay off. Since then I have been in the hospital 2xs. This last time was the most beneficial to me. I met my goal this month of not being in the hospital for a month. So far this year has been crummy I have asthma and ended up in the hospital at least every 3 weeks up until June.
I am not married and at this point don't think I ever will be.
I'll hang around here for awhile and hope its not to wierd.

Welcome to Babble, janniebug. It sounds like you have been having a really bad time of it. I think you'll find that the folks here are really supportive and helpful. If you need a place to vent, need to know there is someone else out there, well, this is an entire community of people like us.
I mostly hang out at the Social board. The Psych board is good for talking about therapy. The rules are pretty simple - don't insult anyone LOL! or swear.

I'm doing good. I just found out I have been approved for disablity so that is a huge weight off my shoulders. I should be getting a check soon. Sorry about the delay I don't have a home computer and the computer I access has been put in high tech hospital for a new harddrive and CD-RW.
