Hi! I found out about this site today through the New York Times article and hope to find a community of others seeking health and wellness.
My dx is Major Depression and Borderline Personality Disorder, with some dissociative tendencies. I've been working with a psychiatrist weekly since my major crash in 2008, who also does therapy. I am having difficulty finding others who have a similar diagnosis and are also seeking treatment.
I look forward to working with this group!

Hello dandelion.chandelier !
Welcome to Psycho-Babble! I've been diagnosed with major depression and borderline personality disorder as well. I also have social anxiety disorder. My pdoc (psychiatrist) is also my therapist. I used to see her weekly for therapy and medication management, but now I see her every 2 weeks.
I've improved a lot on meds and with therapy. I probably no longer fit the borderline criteria now. I still get recurring depressions sometimes, but usually it is from a combination of reducing my meds and stressful life situations. My social anxiety has also gotten a lot better. There is definitely lots of hope for you!
I look forward to hearing more from you. Feel free to participate on any of the boards. Just jump right in, don't be shy. :-)
