i just want to express my relief at finally stopping xanax. i had been holding on to the security blanket of half of a .5 mg. pill each night before bed. the other night, i got sleepy before taking the xanax, so i just went to sleep without it, and i slept through the night just fine. after three xanax-free nights, i have felt fine. no withdrawal symptoms except for a mild headache which could have been caused by any number of things.
i've also gone down to 150 mg. of Wellbutrin (from 300). maybe taking this lower dose is helping me sleep.
i'd been taking these drugs for two years. i'm really happy to be getting off/tapering them.

I have found once on an antidepressant for awhile, and once I get the social and psychological aspects of my life on a positive track, I need less benzos.
I would keep it by your side, though, just in case of an emergency.
Best of luck...
Jay :-)
